Leave Policy and Attendance

All the students are expected to participate in all the activities of the college unless prior permission is given/approved by the college authorities.

The leave-policy of the college as prescribed by the board is as follows:

  • A minimum of 80 % attendance is required for a promotion to the next class.
  • Absence by the students less than three days should be supported by a leave letter signed by the parent or guardian and submitted to the class teacher. 
  • Absence by the students for 3 days or more than three days must be supported by a leave letter signed by the parent or guardian and get it approved by the Principal. The student must show the approved letter to the class teacher before entering the class.
  • Time spent for college sponsored activities such as field trips, excursions; inter-collegiate competitions and college programmes, outside the college premises will not be considered as leave of absence. The student should obtain permission and submit a letter to the principal prior to leaving the college .
  • No student shall leave the college premises during the college hours without the permission of the Principal.
  • Students arriving late by more than 30 minutes or leaving more than 30 minutes early during the day will be counted absent for half a day for the part she/he has missed.
  • New students should be introduced personally by the parent/guardians guardian who will be responsible to the Principal for the irregularity and fees.
  • Students coming from recognized schools/other states need to produce Transfer Certificate along with other required documents from the institution last attended. 
  • Engaging the students in private tuition may prove injurious to progress and should not be done without consulting the Principal.
